Capable Transport Inc. is an FMCSA licensed freight broker that offers transportation and logistics services. Our sister company, California Midwest Xpress, is an asset based truckload carrier. We provide transportation services to medium and large manufacturing, distribution and logistics companies. Our market is 100% business to business.
This is an entry level sales and service position. The ideal candidate will have 1 – 2 years sales or general business experience. A college degree is preferred, but not required. What is required is a very strong work ethic, intense desire to succeed and the ability to handle the mental challenges of selling. Initially, you will learn our sales process and make a large number of outbound calls to identify potential accounts and develop relationships with potential shippers.
You will quote the opportunities you uncover and if awarded the business, secure the transportation capacity to move the load – either with outsourced capacity (trucks) or our own company equipment. Training in all aspects of the job will be provided. The ideal candidate must be a quick learner and be able to multi-task effectively as this can be a fast paced environment.
A modest base salary is offered, along with an initial bonus program while you learn the business and develop your client base. After 6 months, the position converts to commission only based on a percentage of the gross profit your business generates. This position offers a realistic 6 figure potential for motivated, effective performers. Additional benefits include company paid medical insurance after 3 months service, paid vacation after 1 year and a company sponsored retirement savings program.
